Kate, with all the love in the world, your knowledge of musical theater is kind of shocking. There have been episodes where Jacqueline references/sings shows like Chicago/Les Mis/Rent and it doesn’t seem to register. Can you explain this? It feels surprising for a showbiz gal like yourself.
makeup recs and questions
Prompted by JN's quest for some new makeup products: I'm into the 'liplights' RMS is making--they are packaged like little paint tubes. Also wondering if either of you have tried any of Isamaya Ffench's line, I tried her 'liplaq' and mascara when she launched, and I'm eager to try more of her stuff. I've never tried any of Byredo's makeup, but their colors are enticing and I would love to hear a review if anyone has tried. Lastly, the Kjær Weis packaging is heavy and nice. I like the cream blush.
ADHD organization - help this hag 😭
SOS - what is the book Jacqueline’s referenced about home organization for the ADHD brain? fellow fast brained individual here…drowning in my “stuff”. I’m not a hoarder (I don’t think) and my house definitely *looks* neat for the most part, but behind every closed door or cabinet is clutter or stuff i think i need that i don’t use or forgot i even own or can’t part with. I can always dream up a scenario for why i may need this dress i’ve never worn that definitely isn’t suitably cut for my body shape or why i may indeed come around to custom rubber stamp carving and should keep all the supplies that i hastily bought three years ago. I know that since I hid these away behind closed doors I forget about it all and am easily overwhelmed and just hide it again. i know jaqueline mentioned something nice like open sided bins or something about seeing things all from one view when her and kate were talking closet org and underwear bins (can’t believe you were folding your underwear individually, Kate haha I’m in awe) and I’d love the book rec and the encouragement since i’m struggling and want to feel good in my own home and I feel good when I know where all my things are not in this well hidden mess. I’m battling the rush I get when I purchase something new, find a rare thing at an estate sale, dive head first into a new craft for literally one day…I’m an addict! but i’m also in debt and I can’t talk to my friends about this bc a lot of them just don’t understand the struggle since it’s easy for them to do these seemingly simple things. anyways sorry this is long winded i just know you guys get it anyways love poog love y’all long live all the hags 💟
Dreamwork
Dear Kate and Jacqueline, First of all, thank you so much for all you do. This is the only podcast I listen to consistently besides the news, which I don’t really listen to consistently! You two are an inspiration to me and I love you. So, I feel like I need to get into some serious dreamwork and I was wondering if you have any recommendations for professionals I can work with. I think Kate does Jungian analysis? Does that include dreamwork? I know Kate has been getting into Yoga Nidra…I’m not sure if you have experienced intense night terrors after yoga nidra, Kate, but that is something I experienced recently and it really rocked me. I have been experiencing various sleep phenomena (sleep walking and talking, lucid dreaming, hypnagogic hallucinations) all my life and I feel like I need to get serious about exploring my subconscious in a safer, more controlled way. I’ve always been so curious about dreams and would possibly love to be able to incorporate more of that material into my work because of course I am a poet and a writer! If there are no professionals you know of, maybe there are some books or methods you can recommend? Sorry if that question was too long. Animal Persona
First off, incredible show. My question has to do with pets. What are your thoughts on constructing elaborate personalities for your pets and then having conversations with your boyfriend/partner in the voice/persona of the pet? What about pretending to be that pet and then singing a song of that pets creation? Am I clinically insane?

Sorry it's long winded :') Long time hag, first time caller! First I want to thank you both for how much joy Poog has brought into my life. Hilarity aside, I am inspired by your friendship and genuine honesty with each other, it’s truly remarkable. That being said - Jacqueline; I never thought I would find a brain that sounds like mine. Recently you have been a bit of a North Star during the internally chaotic experience of being 24, post grad, et. al. My entire life I feel like I have never been able to successfully convey just like what the fuck is going on in my mind and I’ve been relieved to find such resonance with how your brain works - at least some part of it. I also have ADHD (duh), migraines - shout out Kate, and hypersomnia - which I am just coming to realize inform so much of how I function/live my life. You have put so many things into words I couldn’t find myself - for example when you started talking about systems it was like holy shit FINALLY someone gets it. As you put it, I feel a “constant striving to enjoy life,” but my mind is moving faster than normal (thx Shankman) and I can’t seem to pin any particular thing down. I guess my question to both of you is; how have you been able to slow down? How can you possibly organize your thoughts into something whole and comprehensible? (ie. both of your incredible stand up work, acting, writing, etc). And Jacqueline; what recent systems have been working for you? Thank you for all the laughs and insights. Come to Iowa some day haha!

Shampoo Fiasco
Kate -- I was in the audience for your show when you were giving away shampoo and the brand rep happened to be in attendance. You - of course - handled it like the comedy professional that you are However I am dying to know what happened. And what happened in your head as it started to unfold. I was (and still am) super eager to hear Jacqueline's thoughts on the whole thing. I thought maybe it would have been brought up on POOG after the fact -- but I understand why it was not. I hope we are safe in AMA to hear the full story. Was that rep actually as pissed as she made it seem? Did you ever hear from the brand again? This isn’t a question sorry, but I’m the subscriber who just ran into Jaqueline in Soho, London. My throat was closing up with nerves but I was trying to recommend reading Deleuze on clock faces and faces of objects. It’s in his book Cinema 1 I think.
