Especially given your propensity for self-help, constructing systems, etc, plus your poetic sensibilities: are you good with money? Did you used to be worse? Do you love purchasing? Do you invest, save, etc?? What got you to that point?? I’m not trying to be invasive! But I think it’s an interesting subject. Wellness related, food related, delayed gratification related

Based on your collective taste in film/tv (hello Six Feet Under), I've always wondered if the both of you are fans of one of the GOATs Kenneth Lonergan. If so, I would love to know your thoughts and musings on his films and plays. Manchester By The Sea? Margaret directors cut? To me, the rhythm of his dialogue is unmatched and I've heard that he writes it exactly how it sounds which is crazy because it is always so beautifully overlapped. I love him so much and I just have a feeling you two do as well. xo, love the pod always.
I took a 1 day katonah yoga workshop last year and it uses a lot of metaphor for the body as a house (your right eye is your attic, your taint is your boiler room… etc). https://www.katonahyoga.com/library-maps/category/Body+as+Abode 1. Have you experienced this practice? 2. Does this graphic speak to you? 3. Is metaphor the only thing that can save us?
Throughout my life, my dad has been my go to dream analyst. When he died recently, it broke my heart in a thousand ways, and one has been the grief of not being able to talk with him about our dreams. He was no expert, but he pulled mostly from what he knew of Jungian analysis. I practice asking myself the same questions he used to ask me before we dived into our interpretations, but I would love to learn more too. My questions are – is there a resource about Jungian dream analysis that you would recommend or has stuck with you as a lens for analyzing your own dreams? Or anything that's particularly resonant for you about the dream realm these days? Thank you and so much love to you both!
Like any good Hag, I am constantly worried that the clothes I wear and products I use are slowly leaching chemicals and poisons into my body that will lead to my eventual demise. However, also like a good Hag, I have a deep reverence for Beautiful Things and my entire wardrobe is vintage 1960s and 70s items, tragically jewelry and sleepwear included. Collecting these items is, perhaps, my life’s greatest joy, and yet, there is an undercurrent of fear that I am laying asbestos and plastic coated fabric on my flesh at all times. I must live my life and, bravely, I do…. but what if it comes back to haunt me one day…. I guess I will never know. Advice? Opinions?
Kate, You have mentioned the Cosrx snail mucin in a SPRAY bottle is a holy grail for you, but I can’t find it anywhere! Is it on the cosrx website, and what’s the specific name of the product? You make it sound so lovely- I need the mist!! XOXO, Claire your Maine hag PS. After I listened to the episode where you waxed poetic about the May Lindstom body oil, I needed it on a spiritual level. At the time I was practicing a “no buy” month (truly transformational, highly recommend), but I told my beloved about how much you all loved it. He ended up surprising me with it. You’re truly changing lives.
Kate mentioned on an episode that she recently had to tell someone who reached out to her to meet up that basically, she would not be able to see that person for the foreseeable future. Can she share her actual phrasing for how she got her message across? I’m in a similar situation where I barely even have time for inner circle friends as I recently had a baby (went into labor while listening to the first Berlant & Novak actually!!). How do we gracefully reject the casual friend? Thank you both for your wisdom.
What is the story how you 2 met? What drew you two to each other? I remember seeing a sketch video many years ago in NYC where Jaqueline was sitting at a table being a casting director or an agent? giving her opinion. I have loved your collaborations for 10 years or so. We all are so grateful that you two found each other and bring all of us so much joy! Thank you so much - Kristine
Hi Gals, I love listening to the voice notes Hags send in. I’d love to do it, but can’t seem to find the line every time! Is this something that only opens temporarily? Also, for my voice note I need you each to choose a number between 1 and 108. Thank you! Love you! SO glad you’re both safe from the LA fires. Xx, Deb
